Ninewells Hospital Maternity Ward
2022
At the start of fourth year we were tasked with redesigning the Ninewells Hospitals maternity ward. We were separated into different groups and given 5 weeks to focus on specific parts of the ward. My group and I were tasked with redesigning the waiting room, a bland an dull space that that should be a welcoming and dynamic space that cares for all kinds of patients.
One of my roles in the group included making the final visuals for the project. Below you can find before and after renders showing how the rooms original design, and the final design we came up with.
We initially started mapping the room in 3D, we did this by 3D scanning the space and bringing it into AutoCAD. there we could create plans and elevations from the room that we could utilise in our development and map out a new design for the space.
community hub
2022
The Community Hub was my final interior design project of my third year at University. The site was originally a 19th century bank that is now a commercial location. The building is located in the city centre of Dundee on the high street, because of this I deemed it the perfect location to house a community hub. Housing a variety of activities it makes it a great location to come and spend a few hours. The building is designed to contain a Cinema, Cafe, Yoga studio, Library, study spaces, Classrooms.
UGOTO
2021
UGOTO was a group project for my Atelier module in third year. The Brief was to design an interactive experience around the idea of making. Focusing on space, design, and interactivity, my project focused on interacting and connecting through sound. The design allowed you to interact with lasers to produce sound, in turn, allowing you to make through proxy.
Leith Tram Depot
2020
For my final HND project at college we were tasked with rejuvenating a derelict building in Edinburgh.
I chose to redesign the old Leith tram depot, a building unused since 1956.
For the redesign I decided to fit the building out as a bar and music venue, this was influenced by research I had done around the area and looked at what local residents believed would do the space justice and boost the area. the design is influenced by industrial objects and spaces to fit in with the building be ex-commercial and from the 19th century.
REVIT - OFFICE SPACE
A practice project to become more confident working in Revit, teaching me necessary software skills essential for designing spaces and buildings.
